Cost, materials, file formats, turnaround, shipping and returns — the questions the studio gets asked most about 3D printing in India. Still stuck? Contact us.

How much does 3D printing cost in India?

For a custom print, price depends on the amount of material used (roughly measured per gram), print time, the material you choose and any finishing. Small desk objects typically land between a few hundred and a couple of thousand rupees; large or complex pieces cost more. Send your file with dimensions, material and quantity and we quote before you pay. Ready-made products are priced individually on each product page.

What file formats do you accept for custom prints?

STL is ideal. We also accept STEP, OBJ and 3MF. If you only have a sketch, photo or reference image we can often work from that, or model it for you as a paid design step. Send dimensions and the material you want alongside the file so we can check printability. See custom 3D printing.

How long does a custom 3D print take?

Custom orders dispatch within 4–7 business days of payment and proof approval. Larger runs, multi-part assemblies or designs that need modelling take longer and we tell you the timeline in the quote. Delivery after dispatch depends on your location in India.

Can you print my own 3D file?

Usually, yes. Send the STL, STEP or reference file along with dimensions, material needs and quantity. We review printability and flag thin walls, unsupported overhangs or tolerance issues before quoting.

Will a PLA print survive an Indian summer?

Standard PLA starts to soften above roughly 50–60 °C, so it is fine for indoor shelves, desks and bathrooms but not for a car dashboard, a sunny windowsill in peak summer or anything near a stove. For hot or outdoor use we print in PETG or ASA instead. Each product page states the material; ask us if you are unsure about placement.

What materials do you print in?

Most decor and desk objects are PLA for its finish and colour range. We also print in PETG for durability and moisture resistance, TPU for flexible parts, and ASA for heat and UV resistance. Tell us how and where a custom piece will be used and we recommend the material.

How long does a ready-made order take to ship?

Ready-made products dispatch within 2–4 business days. Because pieces are printed to order, occasional restocks add a little time and we tell you if so. Delivery after dispatch depends on your location; see our Shipping Policy.

Do you ship across India? What does shipping cost?

Yes, we ship pan-India. Shipping is free on orders over the threshold shown in the site banner; below that a flat fee applies at checkout. We currently ship within India only.

Do you offer cash on delivery?

No. Pookie 3D accepts online payments only so made-to-order production can begin as soon as an order is confirmed.

What is your return and refund policy?

For damage, defect or wrong-item claims, email returns@pookie3d.com with your order number and clear photos or video of the product and packaging within 48 hours of delivery. Made-to-order and personalised items cannot be returned for a change of mind. Full terms are on the Refund & Cancellation Policy page.

Do you take corporate, bulk or small-batch orders?

Yes. Made-to-order production means there is no mould cost, so small batches of 10 to a few hundred units are practical for corporate gifts, event pieces and product runs. Share quantity, deadline and artwork or files and we quote timeline and per-unit pricing.

Are layer lines or colour variations normal?

Yes. They are natural characteristics of 3D printing. Small differences in texture and shade make each object slightly individual without affecting its function.
